Joachim Ruttgers

 

studied Physics at the Universities of Freiburg and Munich from 1982 to 1988. He continued his studies at the Department of Physical Chemistry in Wurzburg, finally receiving the Ph.D. degree.

 

After his studies he was a postdoc fellow at a research lab in France. During his scientific career, Mr Ruttgers focussed on microwave and high-resolution optical spectroscopy of atoms and gaseous molecules.

 

From 1992 to 1996 he passed the education as patent attorney. From 1996, Mr Ruttgers is working as patent attorney starting as as sole practitioner and then becoming partner of the RACKETTE Partnership in the year 1998.

 

His areas of technical expertise are mechanical engineering, fastening technology, medical devices, measurement technology, optics and laser technology.

 

The main areas of the legal practice of Mr Ruttgers are patent prosecution, patent opposition proceedings, trademark prosecution and design prosecution

 

Mr Ruttgers is member of a number of professional organisations, inter alia German Patent Attorneys Association ("Patentanwaltskammer"), epi, FICPI and NAPP.
